Homebuyer follow-up

Follow the buyer’s timeline, not a generic countdown.

A buyer browsing neighborhoods, a buyer touring homes and a buyer ready to speak have different next steps. Purchase follow-up should reflect what the borrower has actually said, without pretending the assistant knows their financing outcome.

Choose a conversation path, not a loan decision

Start with the last stated purchase goal and timing. Has the borrower asked to speak, changed a plan, or said they are not ready? That context is more useful than a repeated introduction or an unsolicited claim about what they can qualify for.

LoanWick can use available Bonzo history and officer settings to support the follow-up conversation. Program labels such as first-time buyer, VA or FHA do not establish eligibility; the licensed officer should handle program-specific guidance and any financing advice.

Three different homebuyer moments

These are conversation examples, not automatic underwriting categories. Keep the borrower’s own words and the source of the detail available for review. If the CRM context is stale or unclear, ask a brief clarification rather than forcing the inquiry into an assumed stage.

A fictional follow-up that uses the earlier answer

Prior contextThe borrower said a relocation would determine when they started looking.

AssistantHas the timing of your move changed since we last talked?

BorrowerWe are moving in December. I would like to talk through the next steps.

Next actionUse the assigned officer’s booking instructions and confirm the actual appointment details.

Fictional illustration. It is not a prediction of response rates or a recommendation about financing.

Configure a purchase-follow-up pilot

Do not count a saved home search, an agreeable text or a sent booking link as a completed mortgage consultation. If a human is already working an offer or an active transaction, choose the appropriate pause or exclusion rather than sending an overlapping nurture message.

  1. Review the segment

Check assignment, permitted stage, contact preferences, holds and the last human conversation.

  2. Choose one intended next step

Decide whether the pilot supports planning conversations or appointment coordination.

  3. Set a reasonable cadence

Match follow-up instructions to the borrower’s stated timing and your configured contact window.

  4. Check the whole result

Review delivered texts, replies, appointments, opt-outs and officer handoffs using the same measurement period.

Questions before you choose

Homebuyer follow-up: common questions.

How can AI follow up with first-time homebuyers?
Use their stated purchase goal and timeline, avoid restarting answered questions, and help coordinate a licensed officer’s consultation when requested.
Does purchase follow-up determine which mortgage program is best?
No. These conversations support discovery and scheduling. Program selection, eligibility, pricing and advice require the appropriate licensed review.
What should happen when the buyer is months away?
Preserve that timing, use an appropriate permitted follow-up plan, and avoid implying that a delayed timeline is an objection to overcome.
Can it book against my outside calendar?
The described workflow uses configured availability and booking information. External Outlook or Google Calendar busy times are not synced by this workflow.
