Shape has AI built in. Here is when a second look makes sense.
Quick answer: LoanWick is an AI texting assistant for loan officers. The Shape connection is still being built, so nothing texts your Shape leads yet. Sign up now for a free 60-day LoanWick texting trial while it is set up, subject to the review terms on this page. Bonzo is the only live connection today.
Shape is an all-in-one mortgage CRM with texting, a dialer, email and its own AI. That changes the question. You are not asking whether to add AI. You are asking which assistant should own the reply. LoanWick is an AI texting assistant for loan officers. Its Shape connection is in progress and not live yet.
LoanWick is an independent product. It is not made, sponsored, endorsed by or affiliated with Shape Software. The Shape Software connection is in progress and is not live yet.
Start with what Shape already does
Shape’s own site describes two-way SMS from a shared inbox, texts triggered by new leads, stage changes or no reply, business-hours rules, managed 10DLC registration and opt-out handling. It also describes AI that answers inbound texts and calls and transfers ready borrowers to a loan officer.
If that covers your follow-up and you are happy with the conversations, you may not need another tool. Be honest with yourself about that before you add one. A second assistant is worth it only if it does a specific job better for your leads.
Compare on real conversations, not feature lists
Run the same fictional scenarios through Shape’s AI and LoanWick’s browser demo. Read the replies side by side. Pick the one whose answers you would send yourself.
| Test case | What to check | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| A returning lead | Does the reply use what the borrower said last month? | Restarting discovery from scratch |
| A pricing question | Does it hand off to the officer instead of guessing a rate? | Improvised rates or approval language |
| You text the lead | Does the assistant step back right away? | Two voices answering one borrower |
| A STOP reply | Do all future assistant texts end? | A follow-up that treats STOP as an objection |
| Late evening | Does it hold until the lead’s allowed window? | Texts outside your configured hours |
How it will work with Shape (in progress)
Planned: LoanWick reads the lead, stage, owner and conversation history from Shape, answers replies by text, follows up quiet leads only in the stages you allow, offers your booking link, and records the outcome back on the lead. It will run the same checks it uses on Bonzo: opt-outs, texting hours within the federal 8 AM–9 PM limit and supported state rules, sending limits, and stepping back when a person texts.
One rule matters more on Shape than anywhere else: only one AI should answer a given conversation. If you trial LoanWick, turn off overlapping Shape automation for the stages LoanWick handles. We will work through that boundary with you during setup.
Status: the Shape connection is not fully built. Nothing here describes a live feature.
Try it free for 60 days
Sign up for the Shape version and you get a free 60-day trial while the connection is set up. Use that time to compare conversations in the browser demo with fictional leads. No real texts go out until setup is tested and activation is approved. Texting is the core product; LoanWick’s AI calling is a separate rollout, and Shape’s own dialer stays yours.
Free 60-day trial while the connection is set up. Trials are subject to review and aren’t guaranteed for loan officers with more than 500 leads per month, though we may still choose to honor them. The trial includes LoanWick texting, not voice; voice trials may be available on request.
